About FC Planet
FC Planet is the official club team of Planet Football and was established in 2010, shortly after the facility was built. It originally started with the Men’s 1st team, and 2 academy teams, U12’s & U14’s. It has now grown into a fully established youth academy, ranging from Under 8’s to Under 17’s. Our club colours have always been Red, White & Blue which represent our UK & Thai origins.
We attract players from around the region, with many coming from Expat Families who are based in Thailand for work. Due to players coming and going regularly, it makes the success we have had in the past such a remarkable achievement. FC Planet’s success story started very early on winning several local and regional awards, this has continued over the years with over 100 trophies won from all over Thailand. We currently have over 150 players enrolled. We are always looking for new talent to join the ranks of our teams, so if you want to be ‘A Champion’, contact us for trials.
Club Philosophy
FC Planet’s approach is one based around possession and playing through the thirds of the field. Quality passing and intelligent movement to support off the ball is integral to how we want to play football. Possession should always be with direction and a mindset to penetrate the opposition when the opportunity arises. Linked with varied attacking play and quality finishing in the final third is how FC Planet’s academy approach coaching our youth teams while in possession of the ball.
When out of possession, defending is a role that all players on the pitch contribute to. Starting from the front each player has a role to play in a controlled and tactical approach to defending as a unit.
Youth Academy Teams
Those privileged players selected for our youth academy have to follow strict guidelines regarding their attendance, discipline and overall application when representing FC Planet. These guidelines must be followed inside and outside the club, as representatives of the team. They help to instil good lifestyle skills and habits into young children, whilst they are improving their fundamental football skills, game knowledge and tactical awareness. Training takes place every weekday after school, generally from 5pm until 7pm, with matches played over the weekend.
